Aaaarrggh Spider!!!!

This week we have been reading "Aaarrgghh Spider!!". We have had lots of fun reading this book. Red Reception have been busy with lots of activities about spiders. We have been:

• Making spiders with plasticine


• Writing spider descriptions


• Acting out parts of the story


• Making spider webs!!

Busy Bees

We have been very busy in Reception this term!!

This term our topic has been all about celebrations. We have had fun learning about Diwali, Bonfire Night, Birthdays, Eid and Christmas celebrations.

Some of our actvities have included:

-Baking yummy cakes!

-Writing birthday cards

- Making glittery firework pictures

- Diwali patterns

Alex enjoyed making party foods using play dough!

Chinese New Year

Reception have been learning all about Chinese New Year this week.

We have had lots of fun making lanterns,cards and very scary masks!!

Celebrations!!!

This term we will be learning all about "Celebrations". Last week Reception did lots of work about Bonfire Night and Fireworks. We had lots of fun making fireworks pictures and designing our own rockets!!!.

A Great Start to School

Starting school

Reception have had a great start to school!!. We have been spending time getting to know all our friends and exploring Manford Primary. We like visiting the school library...there are so many great books to choose from.

We have been learning all about "Ourselves". Blue and Red reception have been painting some lovely self portraits. We also have been learning about parts of the body.
In reception we have been using the smart board to help us with our learning. We have been learning to sing some number songs!!

Last week we celebrated Harvest. We walked to a local church to sing some of our harvest songs we have been learning. Our favourite harvest songs is "Mr Scarecrow" ! !! ......A big thankyou to all the parents who came with us.
