Celebrations!!!

This term we will be learning all about "Celebrations". Last week Reception did lots of work about Bonfire Night and Fireworks. We had lots of fun making fireworks pictures and designing our own rockets!!!.

A Great Start to School

Starting school

Reception have had a great start to school!!. We have been spending time getting to know all our friends and exploring Manford Primary. We like visiting the school library...there are so many great books to choose from.

We have been learning all about "Ourselves". Blue and Red reception have been painting some lovely self portraits. We also have been learning about parts of the body.
In reception we have been using the smart board to help us with our learning. We have been learning to sing some number songs!!

Last week we celebrated Harvest. We walked to a local church to sing some of our harvest songs we have been learning. Our favourite harvest songs is "Mr Scarecrow" ! !! ......A big thankyou to all the parents who came with us.

Reception Celebrate Chinese New Year

On Monday 26th January Reception celebrated Chinese New Year.

We made lanterns, dragons, masks and some of us dressed in traditional costume...

Reception Visit Manford Library

Red, Blue and Yellow Reception walked to Manford Library. We listened to some stories about dinosaurs, went on a dinosaur hunt and sang some songs. Many of our Mums came along as well, we all had lots of fun.
